“ Loved the food! Loved the customer service! I tried their protein blend and it was delicious. I am thankful they introduced me to a vegan healthy protein that they use. Now I know what to buy and try to blend on my own at home. Not sure if it'll come out as good, but I am happy they shared what they use. The ambiance was lovely and well decorated. “ Such a cute restaurant! Definitely some IG worthy spots. Plenty of parking and space to sit. Very friendly service and the food came out fast. The birria tacos were SO good. The best vegan ones I've had. Ate them so fast, I didn't even get a chance to take a picture. Also got the mango fresa agua - yum. Coffee cake to go was a huge size and tasted like a churro pastry! It was great with coffee the next morning. Overall, highly recommend. ”
“ I wanted to clear up what an earlier reviewer said- this restaurant actually DOES have gluten free options. When I called, the waitress said that everything besides the flour tortillas is gluten free. I got a fiesta bowl with jackfruit barbacoa and it's flavorful, and the portion is HUGE. “ Finding a good plant-based restaurant or grocery store in my area proved a bit challenging, but I stumbled upon a gem in Downey! I decided to treat my best friend to dinner and drinks. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived. We ordered gorditas, guacamole, and nachos. I had a margarita, and my friend enjoyed her nachos with a refreshing cucumber drink. We also purchased a cup of *Champurado* to go, after sampling it - and it's truly exceptional. My gorditas featured a delicious mushroom "meat" and soy chorizo. The chorizo had a delightful kick - a pleasant spice, not overpowering. The mushroom "meat" was fantastic! The guacamole was perfect, and I appreciated the NO tomatoes. I didn't try the nachos, but my friend seemed to thoroughly enjoy the diverse ingredients. We had a wonderful time and I'll definitely be returning. I highly recommend the *Champurrado*, the gorditas (especially the mushroom one!), and the guacamole. The soy chorizo was also excellent. ”
“ This quickly became one of our go to places when we moved to Norwalk. The food is definitely and has large servings. Everyone is always sweet and the restaurant is clean and has a very cool ambiance. You can ask to sample the different proteins before ordering which was really nice since I can be really picky while trying new vegan meats. The chicken is my favorite. Super juicy and tasty. The staff is great. ”
“ I AM SURPRISED HOW MUCH I LIKE THIS PLACE!! Everything on the menu is vegan. Wanted a little snack so tried the nachos.. and it was different and delicious! The amount of vegan meat they used was a great amount! And the nachos itself was big enough to share 3 people in my opinion! I did try their margarita but I didnt get to take a picture! It was also good and gave me a good buzz!! This place is at the downey plaza so lots of seating and parking spaces available! ”
“ Came here around 4PM on a Thursday. It wasn't busy at all, so no waiting for us. It's a cute restaurant! You order at the counter and pick a table to sit at, then they bring the food to your table. For Happy Hour, they have buy one drink, get the next drink 50% off, so we ordered two cocktails. I had the cucumber one and my friend ordered the mango. The drinks were delicious! I loved the tajin rim. For food, I ordered the Guacamaya wrap, which was pretty good, but I wish I ordered a different protein. I ordered it with the chicken. My friend ordered the vegan chilaquiles and I preferred her dish over mine. I still enjoyed my food and would be down to come back and try their other dishes. The desserts in the fridge looked delicious; I'll try them next time! ”
“ Everything's VEGAN and you wouldn't even know it! My partner and I tried this place out because we're out here with our own dietary restrictions and this place completely hit the spot! Food was delicious, the mushroom carnitas were unreal and everything tasted fresh and bright! The workers there were very friendly and accommodating! We came on a Thursday afternoon, and it wasn't very packed. It was nice ti just sit outside and take the beautiful day in while eating this delicious food! Just a note, if you've never been here, the place is a bit hidden, but it's right next to the movie theatre! Parking's easy enough! Honestly, won't be disappointed!! We will come again! ”
“ I was in the mood for vegetarian Mexican food so I gave Guacamaya a try. The team happily greeted me upon arriving. As this was my first time, I asked for some recommendations on menu favorites, so the Guacamaya wrap it was! I added jackfruit for protein. Inside the flour tortillas was a crispy corn trastada. The wrap was full of flavor. The vegan queso was a creamy consistency that boasts of real cheese flavor and Mexican spices. I topped off my meal with a hibiscus margarita, in a sugar rim glass. The inside felt like a garden oasis, the way it was decorated. The outside patio was full of trees and plants, continuing with the oasis vibes. ”
